Silas Wheeler served in the War of 1812.

Silas, and his brothers David Jr., and Alanson, owned property in or near Wardwell Settlement, NY.

Silas married Polly Whipple on July 3, 1817 in Ellisburg, Jefferson County, New York.

Silas and Polly had six children - 4 daughters and 2 sons.

1820 census records indicate Silas Wheeler and
his father David were residents of Ellisburg Township, Jefferson County, New York.

Polly died in 1848 and is buried along with one of their daughters, Mary Wheeler Cull, in the Rusco Cemetery in West Bend, Washington County, WI, along with David Wheeler and his second wife Nabbie.

After Polly's death, David married Polly's sister Esther at Tolland, Connecticut.

Silas and his second wife Esther are buried in the Riverside Cemetery in Blue Earth, Fairbault County, MN. The stone marking the grave has Silas' name on it, however there are no cemetery or county death records proving his body is buried there.
