Jonas Wheeler II moved from Concord, MA to New Ipswich, NH after his wedding to Rebecca Maynard.  From there he moved to Rindge, NH, and then Wilmington, VT, and then to Galaway, NY.

Jonas was a Private in the Revolutionary Army.

Jonas moved to Wheeler Township, Steuben County, NY in 1816, where he remained until his death.

1820 census records indicate Jonas Wheeler II and his sons Asa, James and John were residents of Wheeler Township, Steuben County, New York.

Probate records from Bath, Steuben County, New York, September 1, 1831, shows Gratten Wheeler was the Administer of the Jonas Wheeler II estate.  The estate was divided into 16 parts.  This estate provides the primary documentation the David Wheeler was the son of Jonas Wheeler.
